Many users install cameras for security, but if sth. happened , the supervier found the images were unclear then screen shot of the playback video, especially some cameras installed outdoors. So, what are the precautions for installing outdoor cameras?
1. Lighting
When using a camera at night, in order to avoid reflection and shadow, lighting equipment is usually required. You can replace ordinary light bulbs with infrared lighting.
2. Avoid direct contact with the sun
Try to avoid direct sunshine in the image. The direct sunshine will lead the camera cannot capture the image. It may causes the color filter on the sensor chip may be discolored, resulting in the stripes of the image!
3. Lama gain
In the computer, the gain level of the image sensor can be adjusted. The higher the gain, the better performance in the weak light, but the interference will also expand.
4. Choose the right lens
There are two main standards for the base of the camera
(1) The distance between the CS-MOUNT sensor and the lens should be 12.5mm
(2) The distance between the C-MOUNT sensor and the lens should be 17.5mm. If it cannot be focused, it may be the wrong base type!
5. Sensor size
The larger the sensor size, the more expensive the lens is. 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 sensors are fine, but not applicable to the 2/3 sensor.
